Unfortunately there are no detailed instructions for the projects, just a reference to the image used. A free CD is included with this book. This is a compendium taken from other previously published books.

May 10 Flower designs apply to many different areas of Craft and Design and this source book is aimed at Craftspeople and Artists, all of whom could find inspiration here. There is a small colour section at the front showing how floral forms can be adapted to many different techniques including polymer clay, silk painting, decoupage and embossing foil. This is followed by nearly 100 pages of black and white floral illustrations, any of which could be the basis for design work. They range from full page drawings to small motifs, easily traceable and adaptable to craftwork. An added bonus is the CD included which allows the designs to be downloaded onto the computer and further manipulated. A very useful tool for a creative mind.

Nov 09 Flowers will never go out of fashion as a popular subject for design, and here is a whole sourcebook of them. Nearly a hundred pages containing eighty black and white drawings can be found in here, as well as a CD of all of them for use with the graphics program of your choice. There are also several pages showing large photographs of a variety of different projects made using the designs to inspire you. Glass painting, polymer clay, embossing on metal, silk painting, mosaic and more have been used to decorate boxes, cushions, wall hangings and greetings cards. There are no instructions in here but that is the point - think of a book like this as the next stage on from the step-by-step projects in other books. Something for the intermediate crafter, before going on to designing your own projects from scratch. There are designs of all sizes, ranging from whole page to a couple of inches, and including borders, corners and repeated background designs as well as single motifs. Spring and summer flowers predominate, and if you are hoping for anything for Christmas projects you will have to look elsewhere but there is a good selection of different blooms. Much of the drawings have been executed in the Art Nouveau style, so being a fan of this art movement will help in your appreciation. The CD is easy to use requiring no installing (so no extra memory needed) and the .jpg format can be used in just about any graphics program. A useful book for any crafter.

Patchwork & Quilting
Jan 10 A collection of bold, black outlines of flowers, both stylised and realistic. It is a pattern book which could be used in many crafts such as silk painting, decoupage and card making. The clear outlines make it a good source for appliqué patterns. The accompanying CD reproduces the drawings, ready to be stored or printed on a computer.
